Thanks to the unique unmanned vehicle technology used these vehicles operate WITH or WITHOUT a human behind the wheel. They are capable of supervised autonomous navigation in areas where humans would rather be doing something other than driving.
Unmanned Vehicle Technology integrates high-power processing computers intelligence drive-by-wire technology and perception sensing technologies. The trucks are equipped with LiDAR RADAR GPS Vision Advanced Algorithms and of course very powerful computing capabilities.
These large tactical vehicles are being developed to support a variety of applications for both military and commercial industries. This amazing technology will help to save lives and reduce driver fatigue an ever-increasing amount for many years to come.
One example of a large unmanned ground vehicle being developed is Oshkosh’s TerraMax
